I own a fairly old ford transit van; recently it has started to develop running problems. I visited several garages in my area, but none could diagnose the problem or were willing to offer any free advice.

At a loss I trawled the internet and came upon a Mr P. Strong, so I Sent him an email describing the vans symptoms and any possible remedies. To my surprise there was a reply in my in box the next morning, not only a message but a possible remedy to the cause of my problems, Peter was spot on!

I live about three hundred miles from Peter's premises, but I would have willingly driven this distance to let Peter and his team further investigate the vans symptoms, but there was no need because his advice was on the money. I can’t thank Peter enough for his time and willingness to help; it is a great pity that there are not more people like him.

I would recommend his services to anyone and trust his advice implicitly; this guy does know what he is talking about and is willing to share the knowledge for free.

Dear Peter

Just a thank you on behalf of my wife and myself for rectifying the problem with our motor home.

We have travelled the length and breadth of the country over a period of 5 years to try and have the problem with excessive smoke from the motor home after it had been idling for some time. All other supposedly fuel injection engineers claimed to have rectified the fault, but it only lasted a few weeks. Every one of them said it was the EGR system but none of them cured the fault.

It was a relief to see a proper engineer walk around the motor home and say its an ignition problem, which you then confirmed with your machines. The work was carried out to my full satisfaction and the motor home has performed faultlessly.

You can be assured that we will visit you again for our servicing and wish you and Rick all the best for the future.

Re Peter Strong Diesel Fuel Injection Specialists

I have been dealing with Peter Strong for nine years and have always found them to be very friendly. Both over the phone and in the workshop, they are able to give good advice on faults and costs.

Their years of experience enable them to be able to repair vintage and new injection equipment, with good turn-round and speed of repairs.

Diesel Fuel Injection Specialist

Due to the high mileage I cover on my Fordson Dexta I decided to have the injectors serviced as recommended by the handbook. Having no idea as to how I could get this done, I looked in Yellow Pages and came across Peter Strong, Diesel Fuel Injection Specialist, James Farm, James Lane, Grazeley Green, Reading, Berks, RG71NB, Tel: (Office) 01189832217 Mobile: 07850 173793.

I telephoned the office and spoke to Peter Strong. I asked him if he could service the injectors of an old tractor. He said he was familiar with old tractors and had recently serviced the injectors of a Fordson Dexta. I could either take him the parts or run the tractor over to him. Being a hopeless mechanic, I drove the tractor over to him and he did a good job. He also serviced the primary fuel pump which had not been working properly since I had had the tractor. The Dexta is going better than ever.

So, if you have a problem or just want your fuel injection system serviced it might pay you to have a word with Peter Strong.
